Walking into Dexamenes, you immediately sense its unique character. The concrete walls, weathered by time, stand as reminders of its industrial roots, while the minimalist interiors exude contemporary sophistication.
Designed by Athens-based K-Studio, the conversion is nothing short of ingenious. The former wine tanks have been transformed into guest suites, and the raw beauty of the original structure is perfectly balanced with polished terrazzo floors, black steel accents, and warm wooden finishes. I loved the interplay of textures—it felt modern but still connected to the site’s history.
Each suite is thoughtfully equipped, featuring Coco-Mat beds for a restful night’s sleep and spacious bathrooms that combine functionality with aesthetic appeal.
My personal favorite? The private terraces. Whether overlooking the tranquil courtyard or the shimmering sea, these spaces feel like an extension of the minimalist serenity inside.

For larger groups or families, Dexamenes offers a beautifully restored neoclassical villa. Once serving as the laboratory and director’s residence, it has been reimagined into a modern retreat. If you’re coming from Athens, it’s a longer drive—around three hours—but the journey offers scenic views and a sense of anticipation for what awaits at the coast.
